After an early morning shooting in Dallas on Sunday, police reported that one man was killed and three others were injured.

After an initial investigation, it was revealed that four men got into a fight at an event at 3638 Cortez Drive around 3 a.m. on July 24. The brawl spilled out into an alley. At least two of the four men involved pulled out guns and began shooting at each other.

According to officers, 58-year-old Gustavo Monreal had managed to shoot the three other men, including 21-year-old David Lemus, who died at the scene. Monreal also sustained at least one gunshot wound during the melee. However, authorities have not publicly identified who had shot him. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

The two other men, aged 17 and 18 years old, were also transported to a hospital but in stable condition. They have both since been released.

Monreal has been charged with murder and aggravated assault, according to WFAA. His medical condition is currently unknown.

Police stated that an investigation into the incident is still ongoing, despite the charges levied at Monreal.
