The Garland Police Department arrested a 16-year-old girl on a charge of manslaughter after she allegedly shot her friend during a live video.

Garland police officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment community in the 1700 block of Apollo Road on July 5 at approximately 6:15 p.m., according to the Dallas Police Department. Responding officers found the 18-year-old victim, who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The Garland Police Department later revealed that the victim died from her injuries on July 7.

Authorities said the 18-year-old, later identified as Princess Omobogie, was using a cellphone to live-stream her 16-year-old friend, who was displaying two handguns for the camera. One of the guns discharged, striking Omobogie. Garland Police Department said its detectives obtained a copy of the video.

The juvenile was taken into custody and charged with manslaughter. She was being held at the Dallas County Detention Center on Thursday. It is not clear whether she had an attorney.

The Garland Police Department did not release the 16-year-old’s identity due to her age.
