Ursuline Academy of Dallas star volleyball player Allison Wilbert has signed a letter of intent to attend Roanoke College in Virginia.
Known as a defensive specialist since she started playing the game at age 11, Wilbert has also earned the reputation of being all about her teammates. She lists making new friendships over the seasons and watching them grow as things she most enjoys.
“Coach PC is the coach I look up to the most,” Wilbert told the Ursuline News. “He has helped me become the player I am today, and I am very thankful for him. My family are also my biggest supporters and I will miss my pre-game handshake with my dad when I go on to college.”
In the same breath, Wilbert is already looking forward to what she can expect at Roanoke.
“I look forward to meeting the girls on the team at Roanoke and having a team and coaches who will support me throughout my college experience,” said Wilbert, who plans to study pre-physical therapy.
Wilbert’s announced signing was part of a recent Ursuline Academy event where six other seniors also signed letters of intent, among them Joy Liu (volleyball) who signed with Bowdoin College, Devon Vopni (cross country) who signed with Baylor University and Kaitlyn Vess (soccer), who signed with the University of Dallas.
