A man is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed during an attempted robbery early Wednesday morning.

The attack happened in the 800 block of South Hughes Avenue in Fort Worth at 12:20 a.m. on June 8.

East Division officers from the Fort Worth Fire Department and MedStar personnel found the victim and took him to John Peter Smith Hospital. The man suffered from two stab wounds.

Police said the man is in stable condition. Detectives are continuing their search for a suspect, who is still unknown.
