Texas Ale Project announced a limited-edition beer series will soon hit the Lone Star State.
The brewery has partnered with the heavy metal band Pantera and the brand merchandising company Bravado to roll out limited-time craft beers in specific markets, according to the press release from leading industry trade publication Brewbound.
Ale enthusiasts can already find the Pantera Golden Ale collaboration in some locations, but a recent partnership with Austin’s Dynamo Specialty Distributing has expanded the brewery’s reach. The expansion includes distributing the Golden Ale collaboration in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Waco, and Dallas-Fort Worth region stores. The ale comes in six-pack containers at Total Wine, Spec’s locations, HEB stores, and other retailers.
Texas Ale Project first opened in 2014. David Stevens, a Texas entrepreneur, is currently the brewery’s head of Business Development. Brent Thompson is the head brewer, and his wife Kat Thompson is the CEO, according to the company website. Brent and Kat first met in college and started their brewery journey around seven years later.
Kat shared that the recent distribution partnership has given them the opportunity to create new ales for the Pantera series.
“Pantera Golden Ale has been a huge success, and we’re excited to continue this partnership with Pantera to expand the distribution across Texas and launch new, limited-edition Pantera beers,” she said. “Thank you to all the Pantera fans out there. Keep rockin’ and keep enjoying our beers!”
The series will last throughout the year, with new releases staggered.
“The new limited-edition series from Texas Ale Project and Pantera is kicking off with Becoming Bock, an easy-drinking Amber Lager, for this summer and fall,” the Brewbound press release reads. “Availability will be limited to Total Wine, independent beer stores, and other select locations coming soon — and is expected to sell out quickly. The series will continue later this year with Electric Blonde Ale brewed with a punch of habanero peppers that has a surprisingly refined balance.”
According to the Texas Ale Project website, the family-run business focuses on crafting beers they would want to drink themselves. Kat shared they have a passion for making quality ales with each brew.
“It’s important that we’re always making a quality beer that our entire team is enthusiastic about and one that customers greatly enjoy once they try it,” she stated on the website.
Texas Ale Project brews beers and ales using a multi-step process over an extended period of time, with a focus on high-quality ingredients.
“Great beer doesn’t just happen; it takes time and precision,” the company website shares. “We believe in multi-step mash brewing. Our mastery of this tried and true brewing methodology combined with a thoughtful selection of the highest quality ingredients and a few other tricks enable us to deliver well-balanced American-style ales and lagers from start to finish.”
According to the website, the ale is best enjoyed fresh, within 90 days of its craft date. Other popular Texas Ale Project drinks include 100 Million Angels Singing, 50 FT Jackrabbit, Fire Ant Funeral, and Texas Blood.
