According to a Richardson ISD letter to parents, Berkner High School and Spring Ridge Elementary were shut down Wednesday after a report of an “armed man in the neighborhood.”
No injuries were reported. The authorities have the suspect in custody.
According to Smash Da Topic, students leaving Berkner stated they were held for around 40 minutes until being given the all-clear about 1:30 p.m.
The incident comes a day after a mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas. As reported in The Dallas Express, 19 students and two teachers were fatally shot by an 18-year-old.
