A person is hospitalized following an apparent road-rage incident on Tuesday, leaving North Richland Hills Police to request the public’s assistance in finding the shooter.

The Dallas Morning News reported that officers were dispatched to Loop 820 near Boulevard 26 around 9:45 p.m. on May 10. According to the victim, the pickup truck they and another person were riding in collided with a silver Chevrolet Malibu on Airport Freeway in Hurst.

Following the accident on the interstate, an individual in the Malibu opened fire, hitting the truck six times and injuring a passenger. 

The unidentified victim was transported to a hospital. They are believed to be stable, and the pickup truck’s driver was unharmed.

According to authorities, the driver of the Malibu was a female with a male passenger. Police said the vehicle’s rear driver’s side might have been damaged from the crash based on statements from one of the people in the pickup. 

Lanes of Loop 820 were briefly closed as police searched for physical evidence from the scene.
