For 14 years, the Stewpot Alliance has partnered with the Dallas culinary community through their annual “Soup’s On!” luncheon to raise funds for individuals and families experiencing economic and housing insecurity. The event will include an art show and a luncheon at the Hilton Anatole Hotel on Tuesday, April 12.

Under the direction of Chef Brian C. Luscher, culinary director of 33 Restaurant Group, attendees will enjoy delicious soups.

Chastain of Sister, Omar Flores of Muchacho Tex Mex, Danyele McPherson from 80/20 Hospitality, Janice Provost of Parigi, Anastasia Quiñones Pittman from José, Javier Reyes from The Stewpot, Jeramie Robison of Thompson Dallas, and Abraham Salum of Salum.

The event will feature keynote speaker Kevin Curry, founder of  FitMenCook, an online community that inspires men and women to eat well and stay fit with healthy recipes. Curry is known for his budget-friendly, easy-to-make healthy, and delicious dishes.

In addition, Curry currently showcases his talents for over two million followers on social media.

“We are excited that Kevin Curry of FitMenCook is our speaker this year! Kevin initiated a relationship with the Stewpot in 2021 during the February arctic storm in the midst of the pandemic shutdown. He inspired his massive online community to donate to the Stewpot because there was an extreme need and because, on his personal journey to health and wellness, he learned the importance of community in developing the whole person. Kevin will help make this a very special event,” said Soup’s On! Luncheon and Art Show co-chair, Carolyn Jefferson.

Emmy-Award-winning news anchor, host, and CW 33 reporter, Jenny Anchondo will emcee the event.

Fellow co-chair, Thella Bowens, will serve alongside Jefferson, with Venise and Larry Stuart serving as Honorary Chairs.

In addition to indulging with delectable soups, guests can view and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces of art crafted by artists in The Stewpot Art Program.

Proceeds from the luncheon benefit The Stewpot of First Presbyterian Church, now in its 47th year. The Stewpot’s work serves individual clients and helps with collective efforts to support Dallas’s most vulnerable citizens.
