Fresh off being named Second-Team All-District, Bishop Lynch star soccer player Mariana Zevallos has signed to play at Eastern New Mexico University.
“Congratulations to seniors Mariana Zevallos and Charlie Holub for verbally committing to continue their academic and athletic careers,” the school’s athletic department posted on Twitter. “Zevallos will be playing soccer at Eastern New Mexico University and Holub will be wrestling at the Colorado School of Mines.”
In all, 20 Friars’ soccer players were named to All-District teams, including nine of Zevallos’ teammates.
Finally, Bishop Lynch senior Tony Medina was tabbed Offensive Player of the Year and freshmen Jose Chac walked away with Newcomer of the Year honors.
