Fort Worth Police arrested a student at Uplift Mighty Preparatory School after the 16-year-old brought a gun into a classroom on February 15.

According to the authorities, the boy grabbed the gun from his backpack after a teacher questioned why he was in the classroom where he was not authorized to be.

Once the teacher spotted the firearm, the student ran away.

The 16-year-old was caught by the school staff and taken into custody at the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center by police.

No one was injured.

At this time, there are no details on the charges he could face.
