Non-profit organization, Behind Every Door, is celebrating twelve years of dedication to making a difference within communities, as well as their new ownership over the Cedar Crest Community Center in South Oak Cliff with a special Pickleball-A-Rama event.

The celebration will be full of food and drinks, plus feature raffles, a silent auction, and a 72-team pickleball challenge.

The pickleball event is scheduled for February 24 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at Southern Methodist University’s Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex, located at 5669 North Central Expressway in Dallas.

To participate in the challenge as a two-player team, which also includes tickets for two non-playing guests, food, and drinks, the cost is $1,000. A guest ticket to watch the challenge, while enjoying food and drinks is $50 per person.

The silent auction is offering two different fun-filled packages. The first one is a four night trip to a nine bedroom villa in Cabo San Lucas with a direct view of the Pacific Ocean. The vacation home is stacked full of entertainment with an infinity pool, swim-up bar, outdoor dining, personal putting green, and a home theater. This package is good for up to twenty people you want to bring along for this tropical wonder.

The second silent auction package is for singer/songwriter Cory Morrow to provide you with a private concert for up to fifty people of your choosing. Morrow will perform an acoustic show with his guitarist John Carroll.

The raffle baskets to choose from are labeled Organization Station, Dallas Date Night, To a Tee, Signed-Sealed-Delivered, No Place Like Home, and For the Gals. According to All Events, one raffle ticket can be purchased for $25 and five tickets for $100.

Behind Every Door operates community centers focused on children, offering after-school programs for kids with an emphasis on education, exploration, expression, and encounter. The organization also hosts occasional events for seniors.

The non-profit promotes relationships, stability, safety, literacy, parent education, community events, recreation leagues, and entrepreneurial training. GuideStar states that they are dedicated to being role models for the young generations.

They strive to implement change and seek to eliminate poverty in the community.

“We define poverty as more than just material poverty, or the lack of the ability to meet basic needs. Poverty is being stuck in survival instead of thriving. Poverty can be material poverty, relational poverty, spiritual poverty, emotional poverty. Many people are experiencing poverty, and they may not be aware of it,” Behind Every Door explains.
