An Arlington home once owned by the late American musician, Vinnie Paul, is on the real estate market for $750,000.

The 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom, 3,784 square foot home was built in 1995 on a hilltop in the Viridian neighborhood of Arlington. It has views of downtown Fort Worth, Arlington, Las Colinas, and Viridian Lake.

The home is located at 1209 Hickory Valley Court.

Its features include two 30-foot barrel ceilings in the main living room, two firepits on each side of a waterfall, two game rooms, and a large swimming pool.

According to Chris Johnston, co-owner of Texas Best Home Buyers and real estate agent selling the home, the property was a place intended for fun.

“I’ve been in real estate a long time, and I’ve never seen anything like this house. It was not built to be a family home. It was meant to be a party house,” Johnson enthused.

In the 1990s, Paul was friends with players from the Dallas Stars hockey team. They would often convene at the house of the musician for parties. After winning the 1998-99 season, former hockey player Craig Ludwig called Paul while in Buffalo and asked Paul to plan a party.

Excited about the win, the players brought the Stanley Cup, the trophy for the National Hockey League, to the celebration.

One of the other players, Guy Carbonneau, decided to throw the trophy off the balcony, but instead of landing in the pool, it went “doink” off the side of the pool. The 37-pound Stanley Cup was left with a three-inch dent.

The story became infamous Stanley Cup lore for the Dallas Stars.

Paul died in 2018 from cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart, and coronary heart disease in Las Vegas. He left a significant amount of his estate to his longtime girlfriend, Chelsey Yeager, and best friend Charles “Bridog” Jones.
