Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton released the latest Paxton’s Law Enforcement Round-Up list on January 21, featuring 18 arrests. 

HUMAN TRAFFICKING UNIT  

On January 12 and 13, twenty-one (21) adult female victims of human trafficking were identified and offered services in Tarrant County during a victim recovery operation in Arlington. 

FUGITIVE APPREHENSION UNIT 

Zane Ray Stuard was arrested in Bandera County on January 13 for violating his parole conditions by being detained for Unlawful Carry of a Weapon. Stuard is a previously convicted registered sex offender who was sentenced to one year of probation for Indecency with second degree felony Child Sexual Contact. He was also convicted of Aggravated Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury and sentenced to ten years in prison.  

Reynaldo Espinoza was arrested in Bexar County on January 10 for failing to report to a halfway house in San Antonio and thus violating his parole. Espinoza is a convicted sex offender who was previously sentenced to 12 years in prison for Sexual Assault.  

Joshua James Alvarez was arrested on January 10 in Bexar County for removing his monitor in violation of his parole conditions. Alvarez was previously sentenced to five years on probation for Indecency with second degree felony Child Sexual Contact. He was sentenced to five years in prison after revoking his probation in 2018.  

Chase Paul Garcia was arrested in Bexar County on January 11 on a federal warrant for Probation Violation via Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Garcia was previously sentenced to five years on probation for Certain Activities Relating to Material Constituting or Containing Child Pornography Possession. The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force of the United States Marshals assisted in the arrest.

Daniel Anthony Dena was arrested in Bexar County on January 12 for an outstanding federal warrant for Probation Violation via Smuggling Aliens and an outstanding federal warrant for Probation Violation via Driving While Intoxicated. The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force of the United States Marshals assisted in the arrest.  

Leonard Esquivel Jr. was arrested on January 11 in Bexar County for violating the terms of his parole by having charges of arson pending against him. Esquivel, a Tango Blast Gang member, was previously sentenced to eight years in prison for first degree felony Aggravated Sexual Assault.  

William Xavier Hinojosa was arrested in Bexar County on January 14 for violating his parole conditions through technical violations. A Tango Orejon Gang member, Hinojosa, was previously sentenced to six years in prison for Penalty Group 1 Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substances for 4gm to 200gm of the substance.  

On January 13, David Joseph Raabe was arrested in Burnet County for failing to comply with mandatory sex offender registration requirements. A warrant was issued for his arrest for failing to Comply Sex Offender Duty to Register with Previous IAT 2nd Degree Felony. Raabe was previously sentenced to five years on probation for third degree felony Indecency with a Child via Exposure. Raabe had methamphetamine at his arrest, and charges are pending against him.  

Michael Shawn Sargent was arrested on January 11 in Dallas County for violating his parole by viewing pornography. Sargent was previously sentenced to 35 years in prison for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.  

Degory Marquine Thomas was arrested in Dallas County on January 12 on an outstanding warrant for Indecency with a Child.  

Juan Jose Reyna was arrested in Dallas County on January 12 on a warrant for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child.  

Destin Glen Saurpy was arrested in Galveston County on January 11 for an outstanding warrant for his third or more DWI. Saurpy is a member of the Lakeside Crips Gang and Chances Make Champions. This arrest was made with the help of the Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force.  

Ashton Dishuan Willis was arrested on outstanding warrants in Harris County on January 11 for Deadly Conduct via Discharge Firearm and a Probation Violation via Firearms Smuggling. Willis is a confirmed member of the Drillers Gang and Chances Make Champions. This arrest was made with the help of the Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force.  

Paul Wayne Howard was arrested in Smith County on January 12 on a warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. This apprehension was made possible by the Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force. 

James Daniel Griffin was arrested on January 10 in Tarrant County for violating his parole by failing sexual contact polygraphs. Griffin was previously sentenced to 40 years in prison in Tarrant County for two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.  

Michael Brent Noble was arrested in Tarrant County on January 10 for failing to report for his parole. Noble was sentenced to ten years in prison after being convicted of two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.  

Alex Edward Beck was arrested in Travis County on January 10 for failing to report for his parole violation. Beck is a previously convicted Registered Sex Offender who was sentenced to ten years in prison for Sexual Assault of a Child. Beck is currently on parole after serving four years in prison for a 2018 Sex Offender Duty to Register Life / 90 Day conviction.  

Michael Scott Perkins was arrested in Williamson County on January 11 for an out-of-state warrant for Sex Offense Against Child, Fondling or Sex Assault Child, and first degree Sexual Assault of a Child 13 Years of Age. The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force of the United States Marshals assisted in the arrest.
