A group of six teenagers was arrested after a string of robberies that occurred in the last two weeks and one that occurred in November 2021.

The Fort Worth Police Department’s investigation connected all six suspects to multiple robberies and assaults. Additionally, the teenagers were allegedly armed with guns when robbing their victims.

According to the Fort Worth Police Department, around 5:30 a.m. on Monday, January 10, a teenage female asked a male for a ride to an area close to Loop 820 and John T. White in Fort Worth. When the male drove her to the location, he was “ambushed” by male teenagers with guns. The group of suspects took the victim’s clothes, wallet, vehicle, and house key. The suspects then went to the man’s house and further burgled items from him, amongst which was a handgun.

While conducting the investigation, the Fort Worth Police Department discovered that another robbery occurred on the same day in North Richland Hills. The vehicle stolen during the Fort Worth robbery had been driven to a residence in North Richland Hills, where the same group of suspects robbed another victim of his vehicle and assaulted him.

The two vehicles stolen on January 10 were located on Avenue L. at a Fort Worth residence. When both cars left the residence, officers conducted traffic stops and subsequent arrests.

More information has come to the surface about the suspects and their robbery spree. On January 5, a man was robbed at La Gran Plaza in Fort Worth, and another victim was robbed in November 2021 in Hurst, all connected to the suspects.

According to the police department, “Detectives believe the victims in these robberies were specifically targeted.”

Police were able to retrieve the stolen handgun and found other weapons among the suspects.

Justin Tovar, 17 years old, is charged with aggravated robbery. Keaun Woods, 19 years old, is charged with possession of the stolen handgun. The other teens, charged with aggravated robbery and burglary of a habitation, include an unnamed 16-year-old male, 18-year-old Aron Martinez, 17-year-old Fabian Almanza, and 19-year-old Lauren De La Rosa.
