If you’re new to the metroplex, then an annual event you don’t want to miss is the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. True to its name, there are plenty of cows, horses, and cowboys to be seen but try not to miss is the entertainment that will be hitting the stage at The Bud Light Roadhouse, The Corkyard, and The Auditorium.
The Fort Worth Stock Show opened its gates Friday, January 14, and kicked things off with the big band sound of the Andy Meadows trio at The Corkyard, and up-and-coming Lubbock artist Slade Coulter at The Bud Light Roadhouse.
Saturday, January 15, saw the country and Tejano sounds of Fort Worth’s Squeeze Box Bandits and ended the night with Jon Stork.
Sunday night (January 16) slow things down with native and “Aurora Blue” lead singer Stephanie Gonsalez. Catch the whole band on Saturday, January 22. Banda Santa Cruz will take the stage for an evening performance on Sunday, January 16, at The Bud Light Roadhouse.
Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with the sounds of Brad Thompson, The Inspiration Band, and end the evening with the versatile sounds of sax legend Don Diego.
On Wednesday, January 19, get over the mid-week hump at The Auditorium for classic Rock band Kansas. The Dallas band will perform at The Auditorium on Friday, January 21.
In between performances, Western music and Country Poetry will be featured.
On Saturday, January 22, there will be a Mariachi competition, and on Monday, January 24, don’t miss the Fort Worth Stock Show Fiddle Showdown.
Country music legend Clint Black kicks off a big weekend at the Stock Show and Rodeo to perform thirty years of hits, including “Killin’ Time” and “Like The Rain” on Friday, January 27, at The Auditorium.
There will be a lot of “Redneck” jokes being told at The Auditorium on Saturday, January 28, as comedian Jeff Foxworthy hits the stage for a night of laughs.
On Sunday, January 28, Windborne will be joined by The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra for the music of one of the most celebrated Rock bands in music, Queen.
Stock Show’s favorite Poo Live Crew is back for another year of fun and antics at The Budlight Roadhouse on February 4. Closing out the Stock Show and Rodeo on February 5 is Ryan Bingham performing songs from his recent American Love Song.
