Two separate incidents on Wednesday disrupted service at Dallas’s DART White Rock Station, prompting a bomb squad response and hospitalizing two people.

Police shut down the station entrance just before noon while searching a dark sedan. All service at the station was suspended temporarily. The disruption snarled transit operations along one of DART’s busiest corridors during the lunch hour, leaving commuters stranded while authorities investigated.

SKY 4 helicopter footage showed police K-9 units inspecting the vehicle. A bomb squad robot also examined the car in the station parking lot, Fox 4 KDFW reported.

Meanwhile, a DART bus collided with an SUV near the station along Northwest Highway. Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries.

DART officials confirmed the casualties but did not specify whether the victims were bus passengers or SUV occupants.

Authorities haven’t revealed what prompted the vehicle search or whether investigators discovered anything suspicious. The bomb squad’s presence suggested concerns about potential explosives.

Service resumed approximately 30 minutes after the initial shutdown. Police have yet to release details about either incident.

The dual emergencies highlight ongoing security concerns at Dallas transit facilities. On Sunday, an 18-year-old suspect was charged following a shooting last week on a DART train that injured one passenger.

Wednesday’s incidents remain under investigation as authorities piece together what triggered the dramatic police response.
