A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that stemmed from a road rage confrontation in the parking lot of Frisco High School, according to the Frisco Police Department.

Police said officers responded around 8:30 p.m. on October 9 to a report of gunfire at 6401 Parkwood Boulevard. When they arrived, officers found 34-year-old Robert Taylor of Plano with multiple gunshot wounds and immediately began life-saving measures.

Taylor was transported by Frisco Fire Department EMS personnel to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Jason Bartik of Celina, was detained at the scene. Following an investigation, detectives arrested Bartik and charged him with murder.

Police emphasized that the incident did not involve any students and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
