Dallas Police Department detectives have continued working the case, but have yet to identify the suspect. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear.

In 2023, a detective told Fox 4 KDFW that they believe the suspect drove a gray Dodge Challenger. Surveillance video shows the vehicle driving west past the home where the victim was out in the yard with a friend and a family member. Shortly afterwards, the suspect appears in the video walking eastward toward the house, dressed in red pants with a light-colored or gray hoodie pulled over his head, and wearing sunglasses and a face covering.

The suspect runs up the driveway, past the other two individuals, and shoots Anderson-Busby multiple times before running away in a westward direction.

Detective Orlandus Bronner is leading the investigation and urging anyone with information to contact him at 214-671-3631. Tips can also be submitted via email to [email protected], referencing case number 062626-2022.
