A pop-up vaccination event will be held in West Dallas this Friday and Saturday, January 7 and 8, for people five or older.

District 6 Council Member Omar Narvaez, representative of West Dallas, tweeted a press release Monday afternoon announcing the event.

According to the announcement, free COVID-19 vaccines, testing, and personal protective equipment will be provided at the pop-up, which will be located at the West Dallas Multipurpose Center, 2828 Fish Trap Road.

People above age five can choose to receive their first or second vaccine doses, as well as the booster shot at the event. Those who have previously received a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine should bring their vaccination cards.

No identification or insurance will be required, nor do attendees need to register in advance or book an appointment.

Face mask usage and adherence to proper social-distancing guidelines will be enforced.

The event is being hosted by the Texas Division of Emergency Management in partnership with the U.S. Hispanic Contractors Association and Hispanic Contractors Association de Tejas.

The event will take place on Friday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
