UFC CEO Dana White has unveiled stunning renderings that depict what the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fight night will look like on the White House lawn, celebrating America’s 250th “birthday” in 2026.
The recently unveiled images, shown during a Fox News interview with White on September 19, showcase a massive octagon reportedly weighing 15,000 pounds – with the White House in the background and the Washington Monument visible beyond.
The layout from the team at UFC allegedly aims to frame some of America’s most iconic historic monuments around some of the globe’s most famous fighters. Many of whom have already told the media that they would be more than excited to participate.
In July, Conor McGregor announced that his long-awaited return to fight for the UFC could potentially take place at the White House.
“Happy 4th of July, USA. Excited with President Trump announcing a UFC fight event at the White House. I would be honoured! Count me in!” McGregor wrote in a post to X.
White described the renderings and overall design, which features a large arch structure on the main lawn, with a lighting grid to ensure the White House is ideally framed during future events.
Seating on the South Lawn will allegedly accommodate fewer than 5,000 people, according to the UFC CEO, though renderings also show an adjacent spectator area designed to hold tens of thousands more. White also told Fox that a secondary overflow site could accommodate about 85,000 spectators, featuring a stage for live music, large viewing screens, and space for fans to bring blankets and watch the fights – almost in a picnic-style setting.
The White House’s official X account seems to have confirmed the collaboration with the UFC over this past weekend, with a post on X that simply reads, “SEE YOU ON THE SOUTH LAWN.”
White said the UFC plans a weeklong agenda of events in Washington, D.C., surrounding the July 4 holiday. The UFC also hopes to have D.C. host the weigh-ins, fan expos, and multiple concerts as part of the country’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
