First Lady Melania Trump unveiled a global coalition on Tuesday aimed at preparing children for the digital age, announcing the initiative during the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The coalition, called Fostering the Future Together, will unite nations to improve children’s well-being through education, innovation, and technology partnerships.

The initiative marks Trump’s latest effort to shape international policy around children’s issues. As technology rapidly transforms society, the coalition seeks to ensure young people gain the skills needed for tomorrow’s workforce.

“Innovation is wonderful. Our nations benefit from advancements in technology—saving lives, expanding access to knowledge, connecting people, and, of course, safety,” Trump told delegates at the UN’s 80th session.

The First Lady emphasized technology’s transformative power, noting how “Great minds have turned marbles into microchips, paper airplanes into drones, and kites into satellites.”

Coalition members will include spouses or representatives of government leaders. Each participating nation will implement programs locally, tailored to its specific needs.

The initiative’s objectives focus on four key areas, including prioritizing children’s personal development and unifying global efforts around children, technology, and education. In addition, private sector partnerships will provide access to emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics, and blockchain. Members will also exchange strategies for managing AI’s benefits and risks.

“Remember, our next generation will use tech to revolutionize how we live, travel, design, and connect,” Trump said.

The coalition’s mission statement emphasizes ensuring “that every child can flourish in the digital era.” Trump will host the group’s first meeting at the White House in early 2026.
