City of Grand Praire issued the following announcement on July 8

Are you having trouble signing up for the vaccine on your computer – or you don’t use computers?

  • Do you need a ride to a vaccine provider?
  • Is it hard to leave your home and you need the vaccine brought to you?
  • Do you want to learn more about the vaccine before you get it?

Disability Rights Texas (DRTx) can help. DRTx is now assisting Texans with disabilities who are interested in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. They can also help provide more information about the vaccine from reliable sources to help you make your decision. DRTx has Vaccine Access Navigators who are specially trained to help connect you to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

For help, call the DRTx Vaccine Hotline for People with Disabilities at 1-800-880-8401 or email them at [email protected].

Hotline hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This hotline is for vaccine access issues only. For other disability rights issues, call DRTx’s main line at 1-800-252-9108.
