Jeremy Culhane, a Texas Christian University alumnus and viral TikTok comedian, has joined Saturday Night Live as a featured cast member for the show’s 51st season, which premieres October 4, 2025. Culhane is the first SNL cast member with North Texas roots.

The hire marks a first for both Culhane and TCU as SNL continues adjusting its roster following several cast departures. Culhane joins four other newcomers in the latest lineup change for the long-running sketch comedy series.

Culhane’s comedy career began at TCU, where he studied from 2010 to 2014. He performed with the university’s improv group Senseless Acts of Comedy.

“When Jeremy stepped on stage, his comic timing, hilarious characterizations and quick-minded wit, left SAC audiences in stitches every Thursday night,” TCU’s Film, Television and Digital Media Department stated. “TCU and SAC are going to be bragging about this alum for a long, long time.”

After graduation, Culhane pursued comedy across multiple platforms. He gained recognition through viral videos on TikTok and performed regularly with the Upright Citizens Brigade and Dropout TV. His television credits include appearances on the Netflix series American Vandal and the HBO Max series Heathers.

Culhane’s mix of digital and stage experience prepared him for SNL’s format, which requires cast members to balance scripted sketches with live improvisation. His background spans improv training, streaming platform content, and television productions.
