BlazeTV personality Alex Stein said demonstrators attacked him after he tried handing out “free tampons” at an anti-Trump protest. Stein posted video of the encounter on Aug. 17, writing, “I was just assaulted for handing out free tampons to Tim Walz supporters.”

The video shows Stein warning one demonstrator not to strike him with an American flag before an altercation breaks out. “Get off me,” Stein can be heard yelling, as bystanders shouted, “Don’t touch him again.”

Stein told The Dallas Express he brought the tampons as a satirical gesture.

“I went to the anti-Trump protest thinking that the protesters would find some humor in handing out free tampons because they fight so hard for access to them in men’s restrooms, but my gift wasn’t received well at all. The majority of the protesters lost their mind immediately and started cussing at me like drunken sailors. It seems like the ability to laugh and have fun has totally vanished from their Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, Stein appeared before the Senate State Affairs Committee last week to testify in support of Senate Bill 7. The measure would require individuals in state, county, and municipal facilities — including schools, prisons, and women’s shelters — to use restrooms corresponding to the biological sex listed on their birth certificate. The Senate advanced the measure after heated debate, and Stein’s testimony drew backlash from activists in the chamber.

Opponents have criticized the bill as discriminatory, while supporters argue it is necessary to protect privacy and safety in public facilities. Stein, who also hosts the podcast Primetime with Alex Stein, has remained a vocal backer of the legislation.
