The Grapevine Police Department is asking the public to help find an illegal alien, previously deported at least three times, wanted for sexually assaulting a child.

Jose Antonio Marquina-Bonilla, 33, is a Honduran illegal accused of first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to a statement the department’s Media Manager, Amanda McNew, provided to The Dallas Express. Grapevine police posted on Facebook on July 10, asking the public to help find him.

Marquina-Bonilla is among the Texas Department of Public Safety’s top ten “most wanted” criminal illegals. Texas DPS is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection first arrested Marquina-Bonilla in Texas in June 2016 for “alien admissibility,” according to his “most wanted” listing. CPB arrested him again in Arizona in 2016, and ICE deported him to Honduras.

But CBP reencountered him in California in January 2018, when they arrested him for “alien removal.”

Still, he kept returning.

The Grapevine Police Department arrested him in October 2023 for assault causing bodily injury to a family member, for which he was convicted. ICE then deported him — again — to Honduras.

Marquina-Bonilla came back to Texas — again. The Grapevine Police Department issued an arrest warrant June 16 for “continuous sexual abuse of a young child.”

“Detectives have followed several investigative leads trying to find him, but so far have been unable to locate him,” McNew said in a statement to The Dallas Express. “They believe he is hiding with friends or family in North Texas and hope someone is willing to turn him in.”

Grapevine police are working with Texas DPS to track the suspect down. Officials are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Grapevine Detective Velez by email at [email protected] or by phone at 817-410-3268.

The Dallas Express asked McNew for additional comment, but she said she could not share any information beyond what the department posted to Facebook.
