Travel + Leisure has included several North Texas hotels and resorts among the world’s best according to its 2025 rankings.
Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center and Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa were ranked among the top five best resorts in Texas.
The Travel + Leisure “World’s Best Awards 2025” combined the survey results from more than 180,000 responses from the publication’s readers. Over 657,000 votes across 8,700 accommodations, cruise lines, and other properties were tallied for this year’s rankings.
While it did not claim the title as the number one resort in Texas this year, the Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa still landed at No. 2 in the state with an impressive reader score of 93.50.
“Last year’s winner, the Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa (No. 2), had another strong showing. Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, the two-year-old resort impressed readers who love a packed itinerary—whether or not they golf,” read the award summary.
The $10 billion, 2,500-acre property boasts not one, but two 18-hole championship golf courses. The massive resort features 500 rooms and suites, as well as 10 ranch houses. Visitors can cool off in one of the four on-site pools and enjoy a meal at one of the more than a dozen dining options available.
Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine secured the No. 5 resort in the Lone Star State, with a reader score of 83.53. The property boasts over 19,000 reviews on Google, averaging 4.4 stars.
“This place is breathtaking,” read a recent review from early July.
Travel + Leisure ranked Hotel Drover in Fort Worth as the No. 1 hotel in the metroplex in 2025. Despite having only opened in 2022, this marks the third year it has claimed the top spot.
