The U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI released a memo this week concluding the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, stating there is no client list and that Epstein died by suicide — a claim that sparked backlash across the political spectrum.

First reported by Axios, the memo officially closed the federal investigation into Epstein, a convicted sex offender with ties to high-profile global elites. It reiterated that Epstein’s death was ruled a suicide and claimed no “client list” exists in government files.

TThe findings quickly drew criticism, especially from conservative figures who cited past claims that a list did exist. A resurfaced video of U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, who previously said she had reviewed Epstein-related documents, further fueled the controversy.

“Pam Bondi said the Epstein client list was on her desk to review for release to the public just a few months ago. Now the DOJ she leads claims that there’s no Epstein client list. Sorry but this is unacceptable. Was she lying then or is she lying now? We deserve answers,” conservative commentator Robby Starbuck wrote on X.

Bondi responded during a Tuesday cabinet meeting, clarifying that her February interview with Fox News was not misleading. She claimed her comments were referencing a broader array of files related to the Epstein case.

She also addressed claims about Epstein’s jail cell footage, saying a one-minute gap was due to standard nightly resets by the Bureau of Prisons.

“And what was on that — there was a minute that was off the counter, and what we learned from the Bureau of Prisons is every night they redo that video. So, every night the video is reset, and every night should have the same minute missing,” Bondi said.

She added that her office is working to release additional footage to support that explanation.

President Donald Trump also weighed in on the situation, urging the public to move on from the Epstein controversy and focus on more immediate issues such as the recent Texas flooding.

“Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy’s been talked about for years,” Trump told reporters. “We have Texas, we have this, we have all of the things. And are people still talking about this guy? This creep? That is unbelievable.”

Despite official conclusions from the DOJ, many Americans remain unconvinced that the case is truly closed. High-profile individuals, including billionaire Elon Musk and actress Roseanne Barr, have expressed doubts about the investigation’s transparency.

“They arrested and killed Peanut, but have not even tried to file charges against anyone on the Epstein client list. Government is deeply broken,” Musk wrote on X.

“Letting the Epstein Island child r@pists walk the streets without accountability IS NOT OK,” Gunther Eagleman posted.

“Mr. President—yes, we still care about Epstein. Is there a time to not care about child sex trafficking? Read the room,” Roseanne Barr added.

The Dallas Express reached out to Attorney General Pam Bondi’s office for comment but did not receive a response.
