A new option for homeschooling families in North Texas has opened with the launch of Magnolia Christian Academy, a Christian homeschool partnership program based in North Richland Hills.

The program is designed to support parents as the primary educators of their children, offering a blend of academic rigor, spiritual growth, and community connection for students from elementary through high school.

Unlike traditional schools, Magnolia Christian Academy operates on a hybrid model, offering flexible and customizable class options on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Parents choose courses, instructors, and schedules that best fit their child’s needs. Every subject is taught through a biblical lens, emphasizing both intellectual development and a strong Christian foundation.

“We believe parents are called to lead their child’s education,” said Jessica Haught, co-director of Magnolia Christian Academy. “Our mission is to come alongside families, offering resources, passionate educators, and a vibrant community to help students grow in wisdom, character, and faith.”

The launch of Magnolia Christian Academy comes amid a broader surge in homeschooling nationwide. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the number of homeschooling households more than doubled from 5.4% to 11.1% between spring and fall of 2020, with even higher rates among certain demographic groups.

Many families are now gravitating toward hybrid models that provide academic structure, faith-based instruction, and community, while still allowing parents to retain control over their child’s education. A 2023 report from the National Home Education Research Institute (NHERI) noted that programs like this continue to gain popularity due to their flexibility and alignment with family values.

According to the school’s website, Magnolia aims to keep costs accessible and foster a strong sense of community by offering encouragement and practical support as families navigate the homeschool journey together.

Magnolia Christian Academy is the latest in a growing number of hybrid and homeschool-support programs across North Texas. Nearby options include Classical Conversations, a national classical education model with several area communities, as well as local co-ops such as PEACH in Hurst and HEART in Grapevine, which provide academic enrichment and Christian fellowship. These programs reflect the rising demand for education that blends flexibility, parental involvement, and shared values.

Located at 7025 Mid-Cities Blvd, North Richland Hills, TX 76182, Magnolia Christian Academy is an independent program. Families interested in learning more about enrollment and course offerings are encouraged to reach out directly.

“We’re thrilled to offer this partnership to North Texas families,” said co-director Megan Mansdoerfer. “Our goal is to empower parents and equip students to shine brightly in their faith and academics.”
