A popular sandwich chain is betting on big appetites in North Texas with the planned opening of 20 new locations in the region.
Reno, Nevada-based Port of Subs announced it will open 20 locations throughout North Texas, including in Dallas. Notably, at least half of the planned new sandwich shops are expected to be open by the end of next year.
Port of Subs prides itself on “freshly sliced, top quality meats and cheeses, freshly baked breads, and zesty dressings and spices,” according to their website. Expect 18 different varieties of classic, cold submarine sandwiches, featuring traditional ingredients like ham, salami, and provolone. Alternatively, choose from the many hot subs on offer, such as the Meatball Marinara. Those not partial to subs can also opt for a wrap or salad.
“The Greater Dallas-Fort Worth-Plano area is one of the fastest-growing markets in the country – for both population and franchising. The influx of new residents, combined with Texas’ community-centered culture and strong economy, represents an ideal alignment with Port of Subs’ core values and growth strategy,” the company said in a statement, per WFAA.
Port of Subs, which has more than 135 locations across seven Western U.S. states, is making a rapid move to expand its footprint in North Texas and elsewhere in the United States. Nationwide, the sandwich chain has an impressive 450 locations in development.
Texas-based husband-and-wife team Robert and Nikki La Grace are spearheading the move to expand into North Texas.
