A Dallas cookie shop owner was shot and killed inside The Shops at RedBird Tuesday afternoon in what police say was a targeted attack.

Officers responded to a shooting call around 4 p.m. in the 3600 block of West Camp Wisdom Road on July 1, according to both NBC 5 DFW and FOX 4. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced the victim, identified as 53-year-old Jaime Alejandro Rokkett, dead at the scene.

Police said the suspect, 43-year-old Rashonda Lowe, later turned herself in to authorities in Arlington. She has since been charged with murder and booked into the Dallas County jail. Dallas County Jail booking documents indicate that her 44th birthday is just six days away.
