A new French all-day eatery and bar from Travis Street Hospitality has officially opened its doors in Dallas.

Known as Frenchie, the new concept, which is located in the former Corner Bakery at 8420 Preston Center Plaza, serves tasty comfort food like rillettes, quiche, crepes, and tartare de boeuf.

The 4,000-square-foot French brasserie is meant to offer patrons a relaxed dining experience. It initially serves an all-day lunch and dinner menu. In the coming weeks, the establishment is also expected to add breakfast to the menu.

Frenchie will offer abundant seating, enough for 150 diners, and boast a 1,200-square-foot food-covered patio and indoor-outdoor bar.

The opening of Frenchie is part of the major overhaul at the North Dallas shopping center. As previously reported in The Dallas Express, The Plaza at Preston Center undertook an ambitious, $5 million multi-phase facelift to refresh the site. When we reported on the story at the time, the complex was expecting at least four new tenants: designer dress & swimwear retailer Trina Turk, women’s boutique Y-OHR, medical spa Viva Day Spa, and, of course, Frenchie.

Founders Stephan Courseau, Daniele Garcia, and Bruno Davaillon, the culinary director, are bringing the new concept to Dallas. The trio has an extensive background serving French cuisine at restaurants like Knox Bistro, Le Passage, and Georgie.

“Frenchie is an American French restaurant made by French guys who are now in the American mainstream,” Courseau says in a release, per CultureMap Dallas.

“Frenchie represents the version of the French people we are today. It’s who we became over the years – authentic to who we are today.”
