The NFL has officially released the schedule for the 2025 regular season, and the Dallas Cowboys are expected to play in some of the year’s most high-profile games.
As previously reported by The Dallas Express, the Cowboys will open the season on Thursday, September 4, with a road matchup against the reigning Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Dallas has a difficult road to the playoffs this season, as their opponents had a combined winning percentage of .557 in the 2024 season, ranking the Cowboys tied for the fifth-toughest schedule in the league, per ESPN.
This difficult schedule includes nine matchups with teams that made the playoffs during the 2024 season.
The NFL loaded the Cowboys with six prime-time games throughout the season, including four games on Thursday nights, one game on Monday night, and one game scheduled for the Sunday Night Football slot.
Notably, the Cowboys will host the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, at AT&T Stadium.
Additionally, the team will play at the Washington Commanders on Christmas Day, December 25, in a game streamed on Netflix.
This schedule makes Dallas the first team in NFL history to play four Thursday Night Football games within a single season, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.
The Cowboys’ home games this season feature the Eagles, Washington Commanders, New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Minnesota Vikings, and Arizona Cardinals.
Road games include matchups against the Eagles, Commanders, Giants, Carolina Panthers, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders, and New York Jets.
The full schedule for the Cowboys’ 2025 regular season is available here.
The Cowboys will also begin the preseason on Saturday, August 9, against the Los Angeles Rams, followed by two more preseason matchups against the Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons.
Dallas is looking to improve upon a disappointing record of just 7-10 during the 2024 season, with the franchise making multiple meaningful moves in the offseason to improve the coaching and roster personnel.
