The Dallas Bike Ride returns Saturday, May 17, for the first time since 2018, inviting 4,000 cyclists to pedal a 20-mile car-free route past iconic landmarks like Reunion Tower, the JFK Memorial, and Bishop Arts District.
Kicking off at 8 a.m., the event welcomes riders of all ages and skill levels for a day of scenic cruising, live music, and community celebration. The flat, beginner-friendly course is designed for casual riders, first-timers, and avid cyclists alike. Participants can ride at their own pace, snap photos at designated spots, and refuel at rest stops along the way.
“More than just a bike ride. Join us for a day of unforgettable memories!” organizers said, highlighting the event’s blend of iconic sights and entertainment.
The ride culminates at City Hall with the Methodist Dallas Finish Festival, featuring food trucks, a beer garden, live music, and family-friendly activities.
Riders can choose from various Ride Pass options to suit their needs. The Standard Ride Pass is for adults ready to roll, while the Rent & Ride Pass includes a bike and helmet rental. The Ride Pass & T-Shirt or Jersey options offer official Dallas Bike Ride 2025 apparel, and the Premier Ride Pass provides perks like priority start-line access, free packet shipping, lounge access at the festival, and a commemorative gift.
Youth Ride Passes offer half-price entry for ages 8-17, College Ride Passes provide discounts for students, and kids ages 3-7 ride free with a paying adult via the Ride Along option. Registration for the event ends on May 14.
A Packet Pickup Party at City Hall on Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. will offer free bike safety checks, gear, and entertainment. Bike rentals are available for those without their own.
Proceeds from the event support the Dallas Bicycle Coalition and Bike DFW, funding advocacy for safer, more accessible cycling in Dallas. For more details or to register, visit DallasBikeRide.com.
