Alamo Manhattan Companies plans to construct two new towers in Uptown Dallas, which will bring 400 new units to the city.

The Dallas-based developer recently filed a rezoning application for a 1.5-acre site at the corner of Lemmon Avenue and Carlisle Street, according to the Dallas Business Journal. A five-story office building currently occupies the lot at 3400 Carlisle Street.

If all goes according to plan, construction on the project will kick off in early 2027, with plans for completion estimated to take between two- and two-and-a-half years, according to Alamo Manhattan president Matt Segrest. BKV Group, out of Minneapolis, will serve as the architect on the project.

The two towers are expected to be 24 stories and 15 or 16 stories. The new buildings will include a pool, lounge, fitness center, and rooftop dog park.

In addition to residential space, the development will boast 7,500 square feet of retail, including two ground-level restaurant spaces. More than two dozen existing mature trees will be preserved, according to Segrest, with substantial landscaping added to balance the “concrete-heavy” neighborhood, per TheRealDeal.

“It actually occupies the high ground in Uptown, and the hills slope away in each direction. For what Dallas and Uptown in particular are becoming, this site has been left behind,” said Segrest.

The towers will give residents easy access to West Village’s nearby bars, restaurants, and shopping.

Uptown continues to experience a resurgence in activity. Earlier this year, The Dallas Express reported that Dallas-based Bellomy Capital LLC acquired the shopping center, Uptown Plaza, though plans for the building have not yet been disclosed. More recently, Uptown’s Crescent Point Tower moved one step closer to reality following the City Plan Commission’s unanimous approval to rezone its planned site.
