Dallas police say they found a man fatally shot in the parking lot of a hotel in Lake Highlands on Thursday.
That evening, officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of the Extended Stay America in the 9000 block of Vantage Point Drive. On getting there, they found the man who had been shot.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating the incident. Investigators said the victim was a passenger in the back of a red Dodge Charger. They also say another car was involved — a dark gray or silver car.
According to officers, the drivers of the two vehicles fled the scene.

Informants can also leave an anonymous tip at 214-373-8477 for a possible $5000 reward.
