The Dallas Cowboys have assigned numbers and agreed to contracts with the entirety of their 2025 NFL Draft selections as the franchise prepares for organized team practice activities in the coming weeks.
Organized team practice activities, commonly referred to as OTAs, are scheduled to begin for teams at the end of May. Dallas is scheduled to begin the first portions of these optional workouts on May 21.
Offensive guard Tyler Booker selected 12th overall from the University of Alabama, agreed to a four-year, $22.52 million rookie deal, which includes a $13 million signing bonus and a fifth-year team option.
The Cowboys also signed second-round pick Donovan Ezeiruaku to a four-year contract worth $10.155 million and third-round cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. to a contract worth $6.51 million.
Both Ezeiruaku and Revel fill very specific needs for the Cowboys on defense and could play critical roles for this team in the upcoming season.
Dallas also reached an agreement on rookie contracts with both fifth-round draft pick running back Jaydon Blue and linebacker Shemar James. Both players signed four-year contracts worth roughly $4.6 million.
Although late-round draft picks rarely make an impact in their rookie seasons, both Blue and James are entering situations where they could see the field early in their careers.
Finally, Dallas signed sixth-round draft pick Ajani Cornelius and seventh-round draft picks Jay Toia, Phil Mafah, and Tommy Akingbesote to rookie contracts.
Dallas also assigned jersey numbers to all nine members of the 2025 rookie class, though some of these numbers are expected to change as the offseason progresses:
- 52 – Tyler Booker
- 41- Donovan Ezeiruaku
- 27 – Shavon Revel Jr.
- 34 – Jaydon Blue
- 50 – Shemar James
- 69 – Ajani Cornelius
- 93 – Jay Toia
- 37 – Phil Mafah
- 72 – Tommy Akingbesote
Surprisingly, the Cowboys opted against selecting a wide receiver during the NFL Draft, indicating that the team could have other plans to address one of the roster’s biggest needs.
As previously reported by The Dallas Express, the Cowboys are interested in reuniting with wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Cooper spent four seasons with the franchise before being traded in 2022.
