The latest Houston Association of Realtors list of the most expensive homes in Texas shows six of the top 10 residing right here in Dallas-Fort Worth.

The ranking covers the period between the end of February and the end of March, with the metroplex claiming the four most expensive properties in the Lone Star State.

No. 1 in Texas: 5619 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas ($64M)

Last month, the iconic Crespi Estate once again hit the markets for $64 million, making it the most expensive listing in Texas. As previously reported in The Dallas Express, the property has experienced a roller coaster of activity over the years, at one point having been listed with additional acreage for a steep $135 million price tag.

No. 2: 3711 Lexington Avenue, Highland Park ($36.5M)

At $36.5 million, this three-story, 20-485 square foot property in Old Highland Park secured the number two spot in the state. The home, which was built in 2021, was the final project for the late Cole Smith, a former partner at Dallas-based Smith Ekblad & Associates.

No. 3: 1469 Sunshine Lane, Southlake ($26M)

If you have kept an eye on North Texas real estate, you will notice this Southlake property has seen its price cut from an initial $27.5 million in 2024 to the current lower asking price of $25.95 million. The eight-bedroom, eight full bathroom home boasts a soundproof recording studio and a backyard with turf pulled straight from Super Bowl LI in Houston.

No. 4: 5530 North 40 Place, Dallas ($25M)

Rounding out the top four is the $24,995,000 North Dallas mansion of Howard Hughes Holding’s former CEO. Known as “The Forty,” the property sits atop six acres and boasts over 20,000 square feet of space, nine bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and six half bathrooms.

No. 9: 10731 Bridge Hollow Court, Dallas ($12M)

The next most-expensive listing in Texas is 10731 Bridge Hollow Court in the gated community of Creeks at Preston Hollow. The $11.995 million 12,842 square foot property sits on just over one acre at the intersection of Royal Lane and Inwood Road.

No. 10: 4231 W Lawther Drive, Dallas ($11M)

The final DFW listing to make the state’s top 10 is the $10.9 million home on Lawther Drive overlooking White Rock Lake. The 11,915 square foot property has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and three half-bathrooms. The listing also includes a horse stable and fenced-in grounds for riding.
