Patriot Mobile has announced its support for Texas Senate Bill 240, a legislative measure aimed at safeguarding the privacy of women and girls in bathrooms and locker rooms.

The bill seeks to restrict access to these spaces based on biological sex, as indicated on an original, unaltered birth certificate.

This initiative extends protections to K-12 public and charter schools, junior colleges, and public government buildings.

Leigh Wambsganss, Chief Communications Officer of Patriot Mobile, emphasized the importance of the bill, stating, “Allowing biological males in women’s bathrooms and locker rooms erodes decades of progress in securing women’s rights and creates unsafe environments for women of all ages.”

She urged Texas to lead the nation in ensuring the safety, privacy, and dignity of women and girls.

The 2025 version of Senate Bill 240, introduced in November 2024, focuses on regulations for accessing private spaces, with provisions related to biological sex definitions and penalties for non-compliance.

It proposes a civil penalty of $5,000 for the first violation and $25,000 for subsequent violations. The Texas Senate Committee on State Affairs is currently reviewing the bill.

If approved, it will advance to the Texas House, where Patriot Mobile pledges continued advocacy.

Similar bills have previously passed the Senate but stalled in the House.
