The East Parker County Chamber of Commerce received a first-place prize for its use of media in its yearly brochure highlighting what the area has to offer.

The ranking came during a recent state-wide conference for the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives in South Padre.

“Last year, I was honored to present @EPCChamber with a copy of the Congressional Record, recognizing their 5-star accreditation. I’m proud to congratulate the chamber again for receiving 1st in media at the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives Conference,” Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-Texas) wrote in a July 10 tweet

Lisa Flowers, East Parker County Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, thanked its members and the community for their continued support and for recognizing the hard work that goes into creating the guide on an annual basis, The Weatherford Democrat reported.

“A lot goes into this guide every year, so we are very honored to receive recognition for everyone’s efforts in creating it,” Flowers said, according to the same report.

Shawn Callaway, chairman of the Board of Directors for East Parker County Chamber of Commerces, said they were “proud” to have Flowers as their president, The Weatherford Democrat reported.

“You have created a machine and we are all blessed to be a part of it with you,” Callaway said, according to the report.

The chamber, which is located in Willow Park, stated on its website that its mission is to “enrich, promote, and advocate for business growth that enhances our members and community.”

The Weatherford Democrat reported the chamber took home top honors for its Relocation and Business guide.

The report also mentioned Flowers and director of operations Jeanna Vaughn were also recognized for their years of service.
