The Dallas Holiday Parade is returning to downtown Dallas. Last year, the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, Santa is ready to face the crowds again.

This year’s Dallas Holiday Parade will begin at Commerce and Houston streets on Saturday at 10 a.m. The procession will feature costumed characters, balloons, and dance and drill teams.

Interested participants can gain entrance to the event for free, but tickets to reserved bleacher seats can be purchased at the Dallas Holiday Parade website.

Per The Dallas Morning News, some downtown streets will be closed for the festivities starting at 7 a.m. Jackson Street will be closed from Houston Street to Lamar Street. Wood Street will also be closed from Houston Street to Griffin Street, while Austin, Houston, Market, and Record streets will be closed to Griffin Street.

According to the report, some parts of Young, Akard, and Harwood streets will be closed as well.

Organizers said they are working to ensure the safety of the parade participants and spectators.
