The Crespi Estate in Dallas is back on the market, reclaiming the title of the Lone Star State’s most expensive listing.
The historic estate at 5916 Walnut Hill Lane is once again for sale on the public markets with a listing price of $64 million. This makes the familiar listing the priciest in all of Texas.
To say Crespi Estate’s listing price has been a rollercoaster is a bit of an understatement. At one point, back in 2013, the iconic property was listed for an eye-watering $135 million. Granted, it came with more acreage at that time.
Then, in 2017, Mehrdad Moayedi, the CEO of Centurion American, snagged the epic property for just $36.2 million.
Years later, in 2023, the estate was again on the market. This time, the estate was priced at a fraction of the amount it was listed for a decade prior, though substantially higher than the price Moayedi paid, coming in at $60 million.
In 2024, the $60 million listing price was slashed by $13 million to a much more manageable $47 million.
Now, the stunning home is back for $64 million.
“The home is nothing ever seen in Dallas,” said Pogir Pogir, a co-listing agent with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s, per Dallas Business Journal.
The lucky buyer of Crespi Estate will enjoy not only the 12-acre property that houses the mansion but also an additional 3.74 acres that lie north of the estate.
Another Briggs Freeman co-listing agent, Diane Duvall, says the property would be impossible to acquire elsewhere for this low of a price.
“It would be well over $150 million,” added Pogir.
The home is not short on space at just over 27,000 square feet. It includes 10 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, and five half-bathrooms. The primary suite alone is 3,000 square feet.
The elegant property, built in 1938, includes a ballroom, a conservatory, two wine cellars, a pool house, an Art Deco bar, and other luxurious amenities.
The listing agents expect the property to be circulated to a small group of prospective buyers worldwide with lofty budgets suitable for a listing of this magnitude.
