Texas Christian University (TCU) has unveiled an ambitious $83 million campus expansion plan designed to enhance student facilities and accommodate a growing student population.
The university’s master plan includes 35 new developments, focusing on academic buildings, student housing, and an athletics district.
“As we grow, we will always do so in ways that foster community and provide second-to-none experiences for Horned Frogs,” the school said on its website.
A key component of this expansion is the transformation of West Berry Street into a vibrant, multi-use urban district, creating a scenic eastern gateway to the university that connects TCU to Fort Worth’s Trinity Trails.
In February 2025, TCU completed two new residence halls on the east campus, designed with convertible indoor and outdoor spaces and a spacious dining facility to improve the on-campus living experience.
The expansion also features the newly dedicated Burnett School of Medicine, which opened its state-of-the-art 95,000-square-foot facility, Arnold Hall, in Fort Worth’s Medical Innovation District in September 2024.
With enrollment expected to grow from 10,000 to 15,000 undergraduate students by 2033, TCU’s investment in new infrastructure aims to support both academic and student life.
The project includes additional green spaces, upgraded classrooms, and modernized athletic facilities to enhance the university’s reputation as a premier institution.
This initiative reflects TCU’s commitment to providing a dynamic learning environment while integrating the campus more seamlessly with the surrounding Fort Worth community.
