Activists protesting Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in Los Angeles have started posting flyers displaying the personal information of federal agents.

The posters, which include photographs, names, and phone numbers of ICE and Homeland Security officers, have been spotted in neighborhoods across Southern California.

The flyers, written in Spanish, feature bold warnings to residents, stating, “CAREFUL WITH THESE FACES.”

They also criticize ICE and HSI agents for what the activists claim are actions that “terrorize and criminalize entire communities with their policies” by separating families and contributing to the deaths of detainees in federal custody, according to a social media post from reporter Bill Melugin. The flyers accuse the agencies of targeting immigrants, labeling the actions as “kidnapping people from their homes.”

Sources within federal law enforcement confirmed the posters’ authenticity, Fox News reported, and have raised concerns over the safety of the agents identified in them.

Though the identity of the activist group behind the flyers remains unclear, ICE officials have confirmed they are investigating the situation.

The posters have drawn some sharp criticism from federal authorities, who have condemned the targeting of ICE officers.

“These pathetic activists are putting targets on the backs of our law enforcement as they shield MS-13, Tren De Aragua and other vicious gangs that traffic women and children, kidnap for ransom and poison Americans with lethal drugs,” DHS said in a statement provided to Fox.

Some unidentified activists disrupted a planned joint task force operation in California on Sunday that involved ICE, the FBI, and the Drug Enforcement Agency. Officials said the operation was part of a criminal investigation and not an immigration raid, per Fox. However, the FBI warned that interference with law enforcement operations could lead to criminal prosecution.

“The FBI safeguards Constitutionally-protected rights, including freedom of speech and assembly. However, any individual who impedes law enforcement operations, potentially threatening the safety of law enforcement agents and subjects of their investigations, is subject to investigation and potential prosecution by the Department of Justice,” the FBI statement read.
