If you were ready to grab a box of Kleenex and head to the American Airlines Center or AT&T Stadium to see Adele, you should pack your bags instead.

According to Variety, Adele has announced she’ll be coming to Las Vegas for an exclusive residency at the Colosseum theater at Caesars Palace Hotel in Las Vegas, beginning Friday, January 21, 2022.

“Weekends With Adele” will feature the singer performing two shows per weekend supporting her recent number one album, “30.”

Previous to the release of her latest project, it had been six years since Adele performed live. “30” quickly garnered the highest first-week numbers for an album in 2021 with over 800,000 album-equivalent units. In just three days, Adele’s “30” surpassed Taylor Swift’s “Evermore,” which sold over 400,000 copies in over eleven months.

Adele’s Vegas show will be intimate, with a little over 4,000 seats inside the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Fans will have to pre-register for a chance to purchase tickets for one of the twelve weeks of performance.

Once registered, “verified fans” will be selected and sent an email invite on December 7 to purchase tickets. There will likely be a time limit on how long the invitation will be made available before it is rescinded. Prices for “Weekends With Adele” have not been released.

The Colosseum doesn’t have a vaccine requirement, and Adele’s performance will allow her and her team to avoid the extra COVID safety requirements involved with touring. Adele has only two concerts scheduled at London’s Hyde Park next summer.

She previously recorded a private concert at Los Angeles’ Griffith Observatory for her CBS “One Night Only” special.

Residencies in Las Vegas are sometimes extended beyond the initial dates announced. Celine Dion has been performing in Vegas for years; her first run was from 2003 to 2007, and the second run of shows spanned 2011 to 2019.

She has performed over one thousand shows and grossed over $681 million in ticket sales. If Adele was to extend her residency, she could meet or surpass Celine’s numbers.

At press time, there is no word on whether Adele would extend her Las Vegas residency, which means you had better jump on tickets fast. If demand exceeds Verified Fans supply, there will be no public sale. Below is a list of the dates for “Weekends With Adele.”
