Cecile Richards, the former head of Planned Parenthood, has passed away at 67 after a battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.
Richards died at home earlier this week, surrounded by her family. In a statement shared to her social media, they reflected on the loss saying, “We are grateful for the doctors and healthcare workers who provided her excellent care, and the friends, family, and well-wishers who have been by her side during this challenging time.”
Many Christians and anti-abortion activists will not mourn her passing.
“Cicele Richards was the most prolific mass murderer in human history, said Rob Eno, of the Blaze.

“Cecile Richards was a monster that enthusiastically presided over the industrial slaughter of innocents. I take no joy in her death, but I fear for her soul right now,” X user Mark Hemingway wrote in response to Obama’s memorial post.
“During her 12 years overseeing Planned Parenthood, she presided over the abortion of nearly 4 million babies,” Lila Grace Rose added.

Former Presidents Joe Biden, who had recently awarded Richards the Presidential Medal of Freedom in November, Barack Obama, and various other Democrat politicians expressed deep admiration for Richards in official white house statements, as well as various social media posts.
“Cecile Richards dedicated her life to protecting and expanding women’s rights. She never wavered in her commitment to ensuring that women had access to the reproductive health care they needed, and her leadership at Planned Parenthood led to the inclusion of important healthcare,” Obama posted to X.
“Cecile Richards was a true trailblazer. For women’s rights. For human rights. Millions have benefited from her tireless, courageous work fighting for a better world,” Rep. Jim McGovern of Massachusetts wrote.
Richards served as president of Planned Parenthood for over a decade. After stepping down from her post in 2018, Richards founded Supermajority, an organization dedicated to advancing “gender equity.”
Richards also previously served as deputy chief of staff for former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
Richards was first diagnosed with glioblastoma brain cancer in 2023, the same form of cancer that claimed the life of former President Biden’s son Beau.
