Boeing and Google have each pledged $1 million to support President-elect Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration, joining a growing list of prominent companies making sizable contributions.
Google plans to livestream the ceremony on YouTube, continuing its tradition of broadcasting presidential inaugurations. The company has also committed to featuring a link to the event on its homepage to increase visibility. This announcement comes after Google CEO Sundar Pichai publicly congratulated Trump following his November 2024 election win, expressing enthusiasm for collaborating with the new administration.
Boeing, meanwhile, emphasized that its donation aligns with contributions it made to previous inaugurations, including Trump’s first in 2017. The aerospace company remains under Federal Aviation Administration oversight following a January 2024 incident involving its 737 Max 9 aircraft. Despite its challenges, Boeing has maintained its support for U.S. presidential inaugurations, citing the importance of celebrating national leadership transitions.
Several other corporate heavyweights, including Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and Uber, have also pledged $1 million each to the inaugural fund, per The Epoch Times, signaling growing corporate alignment with Trump’s administration.
Amazon’s contribution marks a notable shift in its relationship with Trump, which had been fraught with tension in recent years. CEO Jeff Bezos, once critical of Trump, recently met with the president-elect at his Mar-a-Lago estate, reportedly discussing regulatory reforms and fostering cooperation, as reported by The Dallas Express.
Similarly, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has made overtures to Trump, per DX, aiming to repair relations that were strained after the suspension of Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts in 2021.
These gestures indicate that corporate leaders are seeking to build bridges with the incoming administration as it prepares to take office.
The Trump inaugural committee has reportedly raised over $170 million, surpassing the $62 million raised for outgoing President Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021.
In addition to tech and aerospace giants, automakers Ford, Toyota, and General Motors have pledged $1 million each, underscoring their commitment to supporting the nation’s democratic traditions, reported The Epoch Times. Energy giant Chevron has also announced a contribution, though it has not disclosed the exact amount.
Analysts suggest these contributions not only support the ceremonial aspects of the inauguration but also signal the companies’ interest in engaging with Trump’s economic and regulatory policies.
