Frontier Airlines will begin operating a new nonstop route between the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and JFK International Airport in New York City in late April.

The route will link two of the nation’s busiest airports.

Frontier Airlines, known for its low fares, is set to introduce three new routes from New York’s JFK Airport this spring. Starting March 30, the airline will offer daily nonstop flights to Miami (MIA). Additionally, on April 22, it will begin four weekly nonstop flights to Dallas (DFW), followed by daily nonstop service to Los Angeles (LAX) starting May 1.

“This is an exciting day for consumers as we once again expand our offerings at JFK,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design at Frontier Airlines, in a January 7 press release.

“With the launch of these ultra-low fare flights to Miami, Dallas and Los Angeles, we are increasing the availability of affordable travel to top destinations for New Yorkers, as well as making a New York adventure or business trip that much more affordable for budget-savvy consumers across the United States.”

Frontier Airlines has launched significant changes to enhance its product and customer service, branded as ‘The New Frontier.’

The initiative focuses on offering greater transparency with upfront pricing and diverse options catering to different customer needs and budgets. Key improvements include no fees for changes or cancellations, a ‘For Less’ Price Guarantee, extended flight credit windows, and upcoming features like First Class seating and better loyalty rewards for FRONTIER Miles Elite Status members.

The airline now introduces UpFront Plus, a premium seating option providing extra legroom with a guaranteed empty middle seat, per the press release. Starting in late 2025, First Class seating will be available on all flights, ensuring comfort at competitive prices.

Frontier is also upgrading its frequent flyer program, FRONTIER Miles, enabling members to earn miles quickly at a rate of 10 miles per dollar spent, which increases with elite status. Benefits for elite members include priority boarding, free seat selection, and waived fees for changes made well in advance.

Starting in 2025, more perks, such as free seat upgrades and unlimited companion travel, will be added. The program allows for family pooling of miles, making it easier for families to share rewards. Joining the program is free.
