Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has boldly dismissed the traditional economic ideology of job scarcity, advocating for boundless possibilities in employment and business innovation.

“The ‘fixed pie’ fallacy is at the heart of much wrong-headed economic thinking. There is essentially infinite potential for job and company creation. Think of all the things that didn’t exist 20 or 30 years ago!” Musk remarked on X, emphasizing the rapid development of new industries and opportunities over recent decades.

Musk’s statement was prompted by a post from entrepreneur Joe Lonsdale, who highlighted the potential contributions of skilled immigrants, reported Fox Business. Lonsdale referenced Sriram Krishnan, who was recently appointed to a key position in President-elect Trump’s administration and has been a vocal proponent of reforming green card caps.

Krishnan previously stated, “Anything to remove country caps for green cards / unlock skilled immigration would be huge,” underscoring the need for a merit-based approach to immigration policy.

In a related discussion, David Sacks, chosen by Trump as the White House AI and cryptocurrency czar, elaborated on Krishnan’s stance. He clarified that while Krishnan supports lifting restrictions, his focus remains on skills-based criteria rather than an unrestricted program. Musk endorsed this perspective, replying, “Makes sense,” per Fox Business.

Trump recently announced additional appointments, including Krishnan as senior policy adviser for artificial intelligence within the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

“Working closely with David Sacks, Sriram will focus on ensuring continued American leadership in AI and help shape and coordinate AI policy across Government,” Trump shared on Truth Social. These appointments reflect the administration’s commitment to advancing technological innovation and maintaining global competitiveness.

Musk’s leadership in the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), co-chaired with entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, further underscores his drive for systemic reform. The initiative aims to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and foster an environment where creativity and efficiency thrive, aligning with Musk’s broader vision of a dynamic economy.
