A former Lewisville Independent School District teacher, Alainee Simonson, has been arrested and charged with sexual assault of a child and engaging in an improper relationship with a student, Grapevine Police announced.
Simonson, 29, was taken into custody on Friday, December 13, marking a significant development in an investigation that began earlier this year. The allegations stem from incidents reported to have occurred between 2022 and 2023 while Simonson was employed as a teacher at Killough High School within the district, Fox 4 reported.
Grapevine investigators confirmed that the victim in the case was a student at the high school during Simonson’s tenure. Authorities emphasized that there is currently no evidence pointing to additional victims, but the investigation remains active.
Police are continuing to work in close coordination with district officials to ensure a thorough review of the allegations and any potential related concerns. As the case progresses, the district has not yet issued an extensive public statement, but Grapevine Police have urged parents to remain vigilant and proactive.
The arrest of Simonson has sent shockwaves throughout the local community, as improper relationships between educators and students are considered severe breaches of trust.
These incidents raise concerns about oversight in school systems and the protection of students within educational environments. Law enforcement officials have encouraged any parents or individuals who believe their children may have had similar experiences to come forward and contact the police immediately.
Grapevine Police have reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of students, asking for the public’s cooperation in identifying any additional information. Parents concerned about their children’s safety or any potential incidents involving Simonson are encouraged to report their concerns directly to law enforcement.
