After Guy Fieri landed in Dallas earlier this month, we can now piece together which restaurants might eventually appear on his hit television series Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.
Fieri arrived in the Big D on December 7 as part of an official meet-and-greet stop supporting Santo Spirits, the tequila brand he co-owns with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar. While visiting, Fieri was spotted with film crews at multiple establishments in the city, likely gathering footage for future episodes of his long-running Food Network show.
So, where exactly was Fieri seen?
Slow Bone
It’s hardly surprising that Fieri would be spotted at Slow Bone, a classic Texas barbeque spot serving up brisket, pork ribs, and pulled pork by the pound. In fact, Tripadvisor has rated it among the best BBQ restaurants in Dallas.
Starship Bagel
Starship Bagel in Lewisville is an award-winning shop that bakes up fresh New York-style bagels. Last year, the owner, Oren Salomon, expanded his popular offering with a second location downtown.
Hello Dumpling
Fieri and crew were seen dropping into Hello Dumpling in East Dallas, which Zagat included on the list of Must-Try Dumplings in 15 Cities Around the U.S.
Angry Dog
This spot in Deep Ellum sits among numerous delicious eateries and serves award-winning hamburgers, hot dogs, and other classic bar food.
El Palote Panaderia
Fieri was seen at Dallas’ first entirely vegan Mexican restaurant, where you can find takes on classic dishes using 100% plant-based ingredients.
Rye
Rye on Greenville Avenue is an upscale restaurant and whiskey bar focused on seasonal menus of dishes made with farm-sourced ingredients. Rye was also in the media last year after sparking debate over implementing a 3% ‘employee benefits’ fee on guests’ bills, as reported in The Dallas Express at the time.
Smoke ‘N Ash
The final spot Fiery was seen was at the Texas and Ethiopian-inspired Smoke ‘N Ash in Arlington. The popular spot was among just two restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth that made the New York Times 50 Best Restaurants in America list in 2022.
